Since ancient times, enjoying Matcha under a canopy of full-bloomed Sakura—a practice known as Nodate—has been the ultimate luxury. It is the purest form of Ichi-go Ichi-e (once-in-a-lifetime encounter).

This tradition was famously epitomized by the 16th-century warlord Toyotomi Hideyoshi during his grand cherry blossom party at Daigo-ji Temple in Kyoto. Even today, sipping green tea amidst the falling petals connects us to centuries of history.
